A teen from Australia has become the fourth foreigner to die after drinking alcohol contaminated with methanol in Laos, media reports said Thursday, ABC News reported.
Bianca Jones, 19, from Melbourne fell critically ill after consuming contaminated drinks in Vang Vieng in Laos last week.
She was on vacation in Laos along with her friend, Holly Bowles.
Bowles is in a hospital in Bangkok as the friends were transported to Thailand after falling ill.
An American and two Danish tourists also died of suspected mass poisoning, which left up to 14 people sick.
Vang Vieng is a small town north of the Laotian capital of Vientiane, which is a popular tourist destination for tourists.
