JERUSALEM (AA) - Israeli media reported on Friday that at least four Israelis were injured in an anti-tank missile attack originating from Lebanese territory.
The attack was carried out from Lebanese territory into northern Israel, the Times of Israel reported, providing no further details on the condition of the injured.
In a statement, the Israeli army indicated that many shells were fired from Lebanese territory.
In response, the firing positions were reportedly targeted, and an Israeli warplane hit Hezbollah infrastructure, the army stated.
Tension has flared up along the Israel-Lebanon border amid intermittent exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hezbollah.
The border tension comes as Israel widened its air and ground operations in the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Israeli border towns on Oct. 7.
