KYIV, Ukraine (AA) – Four people were killed and 39 others injured in Russian missile attacks on four Ukrainian cities, Kharkiv, Pavlohrad, and Balakliia, as well as the capital Kyiv, early Tuesday morning, local authorities said.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said at least nine people were injured, one of whom in serious condition, in multiple explosions in the city.
People from one neighborhood were evacuated after one of the missiles fell unexploded on a house, he said.
The missile attack killed three people and injured 28 others, including a child, in Kharkiv, the city Mayor Oleg Sinegubov said.
"The Russian army used cruise missiles of the type X-22 in the attack," Sinegubov claimed.
Meanwhile, one person was killed in the city of Pavlohrad, and two others were injured as a result of explosions in Balakliia city.
Russia has not yet issued a statement regarding the attacks in various Ukrainian cities.
