ISTANBUL (AA) - A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Mangya City in northwestern China's Qinghai province early Thursday, according to local media reports.
The earthquake occurred at 8.39 a.m. local time (0039GMT) at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles).
However, the US Geological Survey (USGS) measured it at magnitude 5.3.
No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
The China Earthquake Networks Center also measured it at 5.5, the Global Times reported.
