WASHINGTON (AA) - A crane injured five people when it collapsed early Wednesday in New York City, resulting in fire and smoke.
The New York Fire Department wrote on Twitter that units were operating at a crane collapse and fire at 550 Tenth Avenue in Manhattan.
The injuries were non-life-threatening, CNN reported, citing a source with the fire department.
The crane collapsed around 7.30 a.m. local time, according to the New York Times.
Traffic is closed around 10th and 11th Avenues between 41st and 42nd Streets, the New York Police Department tweeted.
