TOKYO (AA) – Over 50 Turkish firms are taking part in the ongoing Foodex Japan fair held in the capital Tokyo.
The four-day Foodex Japan, one of the largest food fairs in Asia, opened its doors on Tuesday at the Big Sight campus on the Tokyo coast.
In a special Turkish pavilion built on an area of approximately 1,000 square meters (10,764 square feet), 51 companies are ready to show their wares.
The Turkish pavilion is featuring various activities ranging from special tasting events to food seminars and promotions.
In the events, samples of Turkish cuisine, adapted to Japanese tastes and transformed into new flavors, are also on offer.
Turkish companies from many sectors ranging from aquaculture products to cereals and olive products aim to play a role in the Japanese food market.
More than 2,500 companies from 60 different countries are reportedly taking part in Foodex Japan.
