NEW DELHI (AA) - Six people are dead after a fire erupted in a chemical factory fire in the India northwestern state of Rajasthan, officials said Saturday.
The fire in the Jaipur district broke out after an explosion in the boiler of the factory, according to senior civil official Prakash Rajpurohit.
The state’s chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma termed the deaths as "extremely sad."
“The concerned officers have been instructed to immediately reach the spot and conduct relief and rescue work expeditiously and provide all possible help to the affected people,” he wrote on X.
