JERUSALEM (AA) - Six Israeli settlers were injured in a rocket attack by Hezbollah from Lebanon on Tuesday, according to Israeli media.
Israeli Channel 12 said that Hezbollah fired more than 30 rockets into Western Galilee in northern Israel.
An Israeli was in serious condition, while five others sustained moderate injuries from the rockets that hit the Ne'ot Mordechai and Beit Haemek settlements, the broadcaster said.
Israel has mounted a huge air campaign in Lebanon since last month against what it claims are Hezbollah targets in an escalation from a year of cross-border warfare between Israel and the Lebanese group since the start of Israel’s brutal offensive on Gaza.
Nearly 2,500 people have been killed and more than 11,600 others injured in Israeli attacks since last year, according to Lebanese health authorities.
Israel expanded the conflict this Oct. 1 by launching a ground assault into southern Lebanon.
