ISTANBUL (AA) - At least six people were killed and eight others were injured on Friday in northwestern Syria, in a rocket attack by the PKK/YPG terror organization.
Earlier in the day, local sources said Arab tribes in Jarablus launched an operation to completely clear the terrorist organization, with the majority of it under the control of opposition forces and some parts occupied by the PKK/YPG terror outfit.
PKK/YPG terrorists were cleared from the area after the armed conflict.
Following that, the terrorist organization, which continues its occupation in the northern parts of the Manbij district, launched an attack on the village in the Jarablus region, killing six people and injuring eight others.
In response to the attack on civilians, Arab tribes used heavy weapons to target the PKK/YPG positions.
The armed conflict is intensifying with Arab tribes in the PKK/YPG-occupied area of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria.
According to local sources, clashes erupted on Aug. 27 when PKK terrorists detained Ahmed al-Habil, the so-called group leader of Deir ez-Zor Military Council, following long-standing tensions between the two groups.
The tribes of Baggara, Bushaban, Tayy, Bukeyir and Jubur gathered under the umbrella of Akidat, one of the largest tribes in the region that led the clashes against the terrorist organization.
People in the villages of Suwaidan, Jurzi, Abu Hardub, Beheira, Shaafah, Shinan, Hawayj, Dhiban, Shuhayl, Izbe, and Tayyana also joined hands against the PKK/YPG.
Arab tribes targeted the so-called PKK/YPG headquarters in those villages and drove the members of the terrorist organization out of the region.
