MOSCOW (AA) - Six people were killed Thursday in a helicopter crash in the Altai region in Russia.
Sixteen people were on board when the chopper brushed electric power lines during landing, according to the Russian Emergency Ministry.
The accident happened in the Tyungur settlement Ust-Koksinsky District -- 42 kilometers (26 miles) off Belukha Mountain, the highest peak of the Altai mountains.
There were no casualties on the ground or destruction, but the Tyungur and Kucherla villages, with a population of 2,000, were left without electricity.
