BIERUT (AA) - Six more Hezbollah fighters were killed in border clashes with Israeli forces, the Lebanese group said Tuesday amid cross-border attacks.

Hezbollah identified the slain fighters as Hassan Mansour, Ali Mustafa Shams al-Din, Hussein Ali Yassin, Amin Hassan Badr al-Din, Adham Nasser and Muhammad Hussein Talib.

The fatalities bring the number of fighters killed to 400 since October.

Earlier Tuesday, Hezbollah claimed to have attacked several military sites in northern Israel, including one in Acre, and said the group inflicted casualties among Israeli soldiers.

The Israeli army reported that several drones from Lebanon were detected, one of which was intercepted, while another fell south of the Nahariyya settlement, causing injuries.

Fears have grown about a full-blown war between Israel and the Lebanese group amid a months-long exchange of cross-border fire.

The escalation comes against the backdrop of an Israeli onslaught against Gaza which has killed more than 39,600 victims since October following an attack by the Palestine resistance group, Hamas.
