ESKISEHIR, Turkey (AA) - Security forces on Wednesday arrested at least seven suspects in Turkey's central province of Eskisehir over their alleged links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), the group behind the 2016 defeated coup in Turkey.
This came after prosecutors in Eskisehir issued arrest warrants for the suspects who provided financial and moral support to imprisoned members of the terror group.
Police teams for combatting organized crimes nabbed the suspects from their addresses in the city center.
Cell phones and other digital materials found during raids were also confiscated for further investigation.
FETO and its US-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, in which 251 people were martyred and 2,734 injured.
