7 Palestinians, including children, killed in Israeli airstrike on home in Gaza

Warplanes target Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, says civil defense

GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - Seven Palestinians, including children, were killed Thursday and others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted “a residential apartment in the Jabalia” refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, the civil defense said on Telegram.

Witnesses told Anadolu that warplanes targeted an apartment belonging to the "Ahmed" family, resulting in deaths and injuries to several Palestinians, including children

They noted that ambulance and civil defense teams are currently working to find those missing under the rubble.

This strike comes as cease-fire and hostage swap talks resumed Thursday in Qatar between Hamas and Israel.

Flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.

The Israeli onslaught has since killed more than 40,000 victims, mostly women and children, and injured over 92,400, according to local health authorities.

More than 10 months into the Israeli onslaught, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered it to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
