GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - At least eight Palestinians were killed and several others injured Sunday in Israeli airstrikes on the central and southern Gaza Strip.
A man and his wife were killed and six others, including their infant daughter, were seriously injured when an airstrike hit the tent where they were staying in the town of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza, a medical source told Anadolu.
Six more Palestinians were killed and several others injured when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle and a civilian vehicle in the Khirbat Al-Adas area in Rafah city, another medical source said.
The strike targeted residents searching for flour in the Al-Nahal neighborhood of Khirbat Al-Adas, witnesses told Anadolu.
Israeli warplanes carried out consecutive airstrikes targeting four houses in the Al-Nasr neighborhood northeast of Rafah and the Al-Janineh neighborhood in the city, according to witnesses.
Israel has launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has killed more than 44,700 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023.
Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.
