ANKARA (AA) – Nine soldiers were injured, two of them seriously, in an explosion at an Israeli military base, according to an official statement.
The army said in the statement released late Tuesday that all of the injured from the blast at a military base in southern Israel have been taken to a hospital, where the two are in critical condition.
The incident is currently being investigated to determine the cause of the blast, it added.
However, The Jerusalem Post reported, citing a source that the explosion was likely caused by a grenade that exploded at the end of a training exercise.
