BERLIN (AA) - About 25,000 people were evacuated after a massive fire broke out in Germany's biggest amusement park on Monday, police said.
The incident occurred at the Europa-Park amusement park in Rust, near the French border, at 4.40 p.m. local time (1440 GMT).
According to officials, the fire erupted in an engine room of an area known as the Magic World of Diamonds.
Police said that two people were slightly injured in the incident.
Video footage showed a dense plume of black smoke billowing from inside the amusement park.
The famous theme park, also known as German Disneyland, covers 950,000 square meters (10 million square feet) and attracts some 5.75 million visitors per year.
