ANKARA (AA) - Defending Italian champions AC Milan beat Monza 4-1 in a Serie A match Saturday and are hot on the trail of leaders, Napoli.
Spanish midfielder Brahim Diaz scored a brace for AC Milan in the first half.
In the 65th minute, Belgian forward Divock Origi scored outside the penalty area to make it 3-0 for AC Milan.
Monza midfielder Filippo Ranocchia fired from a freekick to get one back.
Portuguese star Rafael Leao finished on a counterattack in the 84th minute as the Rossoneri got a big win at home in San Siro Stadium.
AC Milan moved to the second position with 26 points in 11 matches.
Napoli have 26 points in 10 matches and will visit Roma on Sunday.
Monza have 10 points and is 14th in the Italian league.

Meanwhile, AC Milan's city rivals, Inter Milan, won on a last gasp Saturday.
Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the winning goal in the 95th minute as Inter beat Fiorentina 4-3 in Florence.
Inter's Argentine star Lautaro Martínez tallied a brace against Fiorentina.
The Nerazzurri have 21 points and is in seventh place.
Fiorentina have 10 points to be in the lower ranks.
