ISTANBUL (AA) – The Afghan interim administration condemned bombings in Pakistan on Wednesday and expressed its "deepest sympathy with bereaved families."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Abul Qahar Balkhi said the interim administration led by the Taliban "condemns attacks in Balochistan."

Two bombing attacks in southwestern Balochistan province and one in the financial hub of Karachi killed at least 29 people while dozens of others were injured.

Authorities labeled them as "terrorist attacks," occurring just before a crucial national election Thursday.

Pakistan closed its borders with Iran and Afghanistan for the election to ensure security.

In less than two weeks, nearly four dozen people have been killed in attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.
