ISTANBUL (AA) - Afghanistan hosted the first round of talks Thursday on the effects of climate change.
The dialogue, carried out by the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in the western province of Herat, urged “greater engagement and collective action to mitigate impacts (of climate change),” UNAMA wrote on X.
“Climate change is a global challenge, transcending borders and demanding all people to work together,” said Aileen Villareal, the head of UNAMA’s western regional office.
