NICE, France (AA) - After his visit to Israel, French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to Jordan on Tuesday evening, the French presidency said.
Macron will meet with Jordan's King Abdullah in Amman.
Earlier, the French president met with his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog and also held a joint news conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“The first objective we should have today is the release of all hostages without any distinction,” Macron said ahead of his meeting with Herzog.
The French president is also expected to meet with Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority.
Meetings with other regional leaders have also been planned during Macron's visit to Jordan.
The French presidency said that France "never pays ransoms for hostages, in any circumstances" and prefers working with its regional partners.
Macron will return to France on Wednesday night.
