CAIRO (AA) - An artificial intelligence conference began Thursday in Cairo with a focus on medicine, according to media reports.
The Egypt Information Technology Institute inaugurated the first Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Conference in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa region, the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported.
The two-day virtual event, with the final day held in person at the Egypt University of Informatics, covers generative artificial intelligence (GAI), natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, data engineering and the use of artificial intelligence in medicine.
Egypt University of Informatics was established by the Ministry of Communications to become an academic institution offering specialized educational programs to meet the demand for professionals in the job market.
The ministry said in a statement April 12 that the school will hold the conference under the slogan, "The Era of Artificial Intelligence."
