ISTANBUL (AA) - Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, announced Thursday that it targeted an Israeli surveillance site and a Merkava tank in eastern Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army said Thursday that 15 more soldiers were injured in Gaza and near the border with Lebanon in the last 24 hours.
At least 626 soldiers have been killed and 3,494 injured since the latest outbreak of the Gaza conflict in October, according to the latest Israeli figures.
Israel continued its brutal offensive against Gaza despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire.
More than 35,200 Palestinians have since been killed, the vast majority of whom have been women and children, and over 79,200 others injured since following an attack by Hamas.
More than seven months into the Israeli onslaught, vast swathes of Gaza lay in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.
Israel stands accused of “genocide” at the International Court of Justice, which has ordered Tel Aviv to ensure its forces do not commit acts of genocide and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
