ANKARA (AA) - American snowboarder Chloe Kim on Thursday became the first woman to bag two back-to-back Olympic gold in snowboard halfpipe.
The 21-year-old topped the charts with a score of 94.00, ahead of Spanish Queralt Castellet who won the silver by collecting 90.25 points at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
Sena Tomita of Japan came in third with a score of 88.25 to claim the bronze.
When she was 17, Kim was the youngest woman to become Olympic gold medalist in snowboarding history at the 2018 Winter Olympics held in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Meanwhile, Austrian Alessandro Haemmerle won the gold in the men's snowboard cross.
Eliot Grondin of Canada earned the silver, becoming the second Olympic medalist from Canada in men's snowboard cross.
Italian Omar Visintin bagged the bronze.
