ANKARA (AA) - American Sydney McLaughlin set new world record in women’s 400-meter hurdles at the US Olympic track and field trials on late Sunday.
Having clocked 51.90 seconds at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, the 21-year-old athlete became the first woman to run under 52 seconds in the event.
Dalilah Muhammad, also an American athlete, was the previous record holder with a time of 52.16 seconds.
