ISTANBUL (AA) - American consumers' short-term inflation expectations increased in February, according to a survey released Monday by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The median three-year ahead inflation expectations rose to 2.7% from 2.4% in January, and the five-year ahead inflation expectations increased to 2.9% from 2.5%, the survey showed.
Meanwhile, the one-year median inflation expectations remained unchanged at 3%.
"Median home price growth expectations remained unchanged for the fifth consecutive month at 3.0%," the New York Fed said in a statement.
"Median one-year-ahead expected earnings growth was unchanged at 2.8%, remaining slightly below its 12-month trailing average of 2.9%," it added.
