GENEVA (AA) - Ammunition possibly dating back to World War II has been found in Greece, state television ERT reported on Tuesday.

The grenades and bullets were discovered in a warehouse of a building in the Kolonaki neighborhood of Athens during renovation.

Preliminary investigations suggested the items had been there since World War II.

During the war, starting in 1940 Greece was invaded by both Italy and Germany in succession before being liberated in 1944.
