BELGRADE, Serbia (AA) - An Anadolu Agency cameraman was attacked Thursday by unidentified assailants in Serbia’s capital, according to agency correspondents and hospital staff.

Nihad Ibrahimkadic was found by soldiers near the train station in Belgrade and taken to hospital.

He is currently in intensive care with a broken chin, said hospital sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Turkey's Embassy in Belgrade has been informed about the incident. The attackers have not yet been identified.

A citizen of neighboring Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ibrahimkadic has been working for Anadolu Agency since 2012.
