ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency has published 27 videos of key suspects in last July’s defeated coup orchestrated from Akinci air base, north of Ankara.

The videos, called Night at the Coup Base, show images from security cameras that purportedly reveal the suspects at the base on the night of the coup attempt.

A total of 486 suspects are on trial for the July 15, 2016 coup attempt.

Among the defendants on trial are two fugitives. Fetullah Gulen, the head of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) said to have planned the coup attempt, has been based in the U.S. since 1999 and Turkey has called for his extradition. Adil Oksuz was arrested near the air base the day after the attempt but was later released and has since vanished.

Anadolu Agency continues to put together the videos on its Turkish channel "www.youtube.com/anadoluajansi" as the trial goes on.

Fighter jets taking off that night from Akinci -- renamed Murted after the coup bid -- bombed several key locations in the capital, including the parliament. Loyal officers were also held hostage at the base.

According to official figures, 250 people were martyred and nearly 2,200 others injured in the failed coup.

FETO is also accused of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
