Anadolu’s documentary The Evidence, which shows Israel's war crimes in the Gaza Strip committed since last October, was screened in the US state of California on Monday.
The screening took place at the Frida Cinemas in the city of Santa Ana, located in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
The event was attended by over 100 organization heads, members of the press, and university clubs.
After the broadcast, a panel was held that discussed the impact of the documentary in recording Israel's war crimes in Gaza, where 42,000 people have been killed in the last one year.
The panel featured Hussam Ayloush, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Shakeel Sydvefrom American Muslims for Palestine, and Mohammed Abdul Aleem, CEO of the US-based Human Assistance and Development International (HADI).
Some of the participants also requested to hold screenings of the film within their own communities and universities.
HADI presented a plan for a nationwide screening of the work, including the use of technologies such as augmented reality to help people experience what has been happening in the blockaded enclave, which is almost uninhabitable now.
The documentary focuses on the illegal use of white phosphorus by Israel, and assembles a powerful team of human rights experts, including former Human Rights Watch executive director Kenneth Roth, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese, and international criminal and humanitarian law specialist Toby Cadman.
