ISTANBUL (AA) - Anadolu Efes guard Vasilije Micic was one of this week's two Most Valuable Players (MVP), Turkish Airlines EuroLeague confirmed on Thursday.
Micic, who won his ninth MVP of the Round, and Howard Sant-Roos of Panathinaikos shared the Round 31 MVP honors after leading their respective sides to victory.
"Micic led Efes to a 93-90 comeback victory against Real Madrid. He finished the game with 29 points on 6-of-11 two-point shooting, 3-of-6 shots from downtown and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. Micic added 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 5 fouls drawn for that PIR of 29," EuroLeague said in a statement.
Cuban guard Sant-Roos, who claimed the MVP of the Round honors for the first time, helped the Greek side gain an 80-67 win over FC Bayern Munich this week.
"He had 15 points on 3-of-4 two-point shooting, 1-of 2-from beyond the arc and 6-of-7 on free throws, while registering 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, 1 block and 5 fouls drawn for a PIR of 29," added the statement.
