ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Efes will host Fenerbahce Beko in the Round 28 game of the regular season in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, Istanbul on Wednesday.
The reigning champions will take on the Yellow Canaries in Istanbul derby to climb to the top eight of the standings, as Anadolu Efes are ranked 9th with 13 wins and 12 loses, while Fenerbahce are just behind with 12 wins and 12 losses.
The last EuroLeague match between two sides ended with Anadolu Efes' 89-84 victory at the Ulker Sports And Event Hall on Nov. 25, 2021.
Anadolu Efes also won four of the last five EuroLeague games between two sides as Fenerbahce's last victory with 80-71 was on Oct. 8, 2020.
US guard Shane Larkin leads Anadolu Efes with 19.7 Performance Index Rating (PIR), while Fenerbahce's Czech center Jan Vesely is the leading player of his team with 17.6 PIR.
The PIR, a basketball mathematical statistical formula used by the EuroLeague, evaluates players' general efficiency in the game and used to determine the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.
