Fresh fatality brings total number of Hezbollah fighters killed in combat with Israeli forces since Oct. 8 to 374

One of Hezbollah's fighters was killed in clashes with the Israeli army, the Lebanon-based group announced on Sunday.

In a statement, the group identified the fighter as Mustafa Hassan Fawaz, who was killed "on the road to Jerusalem," in reference to Hezbollah’s fight in support of Palestinian resistance facing a devastating Israeli onslaught against the Gaza Strip.

The new fatality brings the total number of Hezbollah fighters killed in fighting with Israeli forces since Oct. 8 to 374, according to an Anadolu tally.

Fears have grown about a full-blown war between Israel and the Lebanese resistance group amid an exchange of cross-border attacks between the two sides.

The escalation comes against the backdrop of a deadly Israeli onslaught on Gaza, which has killed nearly 39,000 victims since October, following an attack by the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas.
