ANKARA (AA) - Turkish football club Fraport TAV Antalyaspor on Wednesday transferred in midfielder Nuri Sahin.
"Welcome @nurisahin. Our club signed a 2-year-contract with professional football player Nuri Sahin," the Super Lig club, based in the Turkish Mediterranean, said on Twitter.
Central midfielder Sahin, 31, a German-born ethnic Turk, last played for Werder Bremen, and had 17 appearances in the 2019-20 season.
In addition to Werder Bremen, Sahin has played for Borussia Dortmund, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Real Madrid, and Liverpool.
In 2011 he helped Borussia Dortmund win the German Bundesliga title and in 2012 helped Real Madrid win Spain’s La Liga.
Sahin also had 52 caps for the Turkish national team.
