ISTANBUL (AA) – The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement late Monday saying any humanitarian aid allowed into Gaza will help Israel’s war efforts and is checked before entry.
“The humanitarian assistance, which is not from Israel but from international sources, provides Israel with important leeway in which to act to realize the goals of the war,” the office said on X.
“All of the deliveries are designated for the civilian population — if it comes to light that they are being taken by (the Palestinian group) Hamas, they will stop,” it added.
“These are food and medicines that have been physically checked and inspected by Israeli security personnel and are delivered via Egypt.”
