ISTANBUL (AA) - US-based tech company Apple on Monday introduced its newly designed Apple Watch Series 10, boasting of its biggest display and thinnest design ever.

The new smartwatch is 10% thinner than its predecessor Series 9, and has up to 30% more screen area compared to the Apple Watch Ultra, the company said in a much-anticipated event from its headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Unveiled at the 10th anniversary of Apple Watch, it has the first-ever glossy aluminum finish in jet black, rose gold, and silver, while its new titanium finish option weighs up to 20% less than its predecessor.

The smartwatch has the fastest charging capability with up to 80% charging in just 30 minutes, said the company.

The device starts at $399 in the US, and $499 with cellular options, launching on Sept. 20.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 will start at $799 with the "most accurate GPS in a sports watch," said the company.

It includes dual-frequency GPS, advanced positioning software, a depth gauge for scuba with custom workouts, and pacing features.

Ultra 2 also senses automatic stroke detection and counts laps for swimmers.

All the watches will be "carbon neutral," said Apple.
