RIYADH, MUSCAT (AA) - Coronavirus cases and fatalities across the Arab world showed a steady rise, health authorities said Thursday.
Saudi Arabia reported 26 more deaths from the virus along with 833 new infections over the past 24 hours.
The tally of infections in the Kingdom is at 318,319, with deaths at 3,982 and recoveries 293,828.
In Oman, the Health Ministry confirmed 16 deaths and 452 infections in the past 24 hours.
Oman's total infections rose to 86,380, with 705 deaths and 81,828 recoveries.
In Palestine, five deaths along with 596 infections were reported in the past 24 hours.
The statement added that the tally in Palestine, covering the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem, surged to 31,716 with 188 deaths.
Libya reported four deaths and 617 infections over the past 24 hours.
Infections in the war-struck nation have soared to 15,773. The death toll is 254, while 1,856 people have recovered.
Qatar confirmed two new deaths along with 214 new coronavirus infections.
Qatar's total infections stand at 119,420. Fatalities have reached 201 and recoveries 116,313 .
Kuwait reported one death along with 900 infections in the past 24 hours.
Kuwait's tally of infections rose to 87,378 including 536 deaths and 78,791 recovered cases.
In the United Arab Emirates, another 614 patients were infected with COVID-19, taking the tally to 72,154.
The death toll has hit 387 and recoveries are at 62,668.
