ISTANBUL (AA) - Argentine President Javier Milei, currently in Rome for official engagements, stated traditional political methods have failed, while non-traditional approaches he has developed have proven effective.
Milei made the remarks at the traditional Atreju event hosted by the Brothers of Italy (FdI), the political party of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Milei reflected on his rise to power, noting he won last year's election through his distinctive political methods.
Arguing that conventional political strategies have not succeeded, he emphasized that his "methods are not traditional, but they work."
Drawing from his ultra-rightist background, Milei cited a quote from Vladimir Lenin, the founder of the Soviet Union -- "There is no revolutionary movement without revolutionary theory."
He acknowledged Lenin’s understanding of those issues, despite his leftist ideology, and argued that the political right needs to build a similar international movement.
Milei reiterated his commitment to the free market, individual freedom and private property, advocating for a limited role of government in society.
