MOSCOW (AA) – A somber accident has struck the Armenian military as an An-2 training plane crashed in the central Kotayk region on Friday, resulting in the deaths of two pilots.
The country's Defense Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan confirmed the incident, expressing "deep condolences to the victims' families and colleagues."
The crash occurred during a routine training flight and was reported by a local resident near the city of Yeghvard, according to Interior Ministry.
The ministry added that a task force was dispatched to the site of the reported accident.
