English Premier League side Liverpool have announced Dutch coach Arne Slot as their new manager.
The 45-year-old will formally replace German coach Jurgen Klopp, who stepped down from his post after nine years at the helm, on June 1.
Klopp, who bid farewell to Liverpool fans during Sunday's Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, led the Reds to the 2019 UEFA Champions League trophy, along with the 2021-22 FA Cup, the 2019-20 Premier League and 2019-20 FIFA Club World Cup titles.
"I love you all, I love all and everything about the club but it's time for me to go. But look, it's not burning behind me and that gives me a good feeling," said the 56-year-old during the farewell ceremony.
Slot, on the other hand, led the Dutch Eredivisie club, Feyenoord, to 2022-23 league and 2023-24 Dutch cup titles.
