ISTANBUL (AA) - Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Napoli, and Paris Saint-Germain tasted victory to remain at the top of their respective leagues last week.
On matchday 16 of the Premier League, Arsenal maintained their leadership with five points clear atop the standings after a 2-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arsenal increased their points to 37 in 14 games.
Manchester City are in the second spot with 32 points, as the title contenders were beaten 2-1 by Brentford at Etihad Stadium.
Newcastle United moved closer to the City after they defeated Chelsea 1-0 at St. James' Park in Newcastle.
Newcastle are third with 30 points, followed by Tottenham Hotspur with 29 points.
- Serie A
In week 15 of Serie A, unstoppable Napoli defeated Udinese 3-2 to secure its 11th straight win in the Italian league.
The side continued their leadership with 41 points.
AC Milan defeated Fiorentina with a score of 2-1 to boost their points to 33, remaining in second place.
Juventus, meanwhile, beat Lazio 3-0 at the Allianz Stadium to receive 31 points.
- La Liga
In week 11 of La Liga, leaders Real Madrid beat Cadiz 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Barcelona tasted a 2-1 away win over Osasuna at El Sadar stadium, while third-place Real Sociedad upset Sevilla with a 2-1 score at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.
Collecting 37 points, Barcelona are atop the La Liga standings two points ahead of second-place Real Madrid.
Real Sociedad have collected 26 points so far.
- Bundesliga
Bayern Munich maintained their leadership in the standings after a 2-0 win over Schalke 04
Freiburg beat Union Berlin with a 4-1 result at home, holding on to their second spot with 30 points
RB Leipzig defeated SV Werder Bremen 2-1 on the road as they jumped to the third spot with 28 points.
At the end of the league's week 15, Bayern Munich are the leader with 34 points, followed by Freiburg with 30 points, and RB Leipzig with 28 points.
- Ligue 1
Paris Saint-Germain, who remain undefeated since the beginning of the league, hammered Auxerre with a 5-0 score at the Parc des Princes.
Lens beat Clermont 2-1, while Rennes defeated Toulouse with the same score in the 15th-week match.
Undefeated PSG, who increased their points to 41 and maintained their lead in the standings, are followed by Lens and Rennes, with 36 and 31 points, respectively.
