ANKARA (AA) - Leaders Arsenal maintained their flawless run in the 2022-23 English Premier League after a 3-0 win against Bournemouth in a Saturday away match.
Arsenal's Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard scored the opener in the 5th minute as he finished after a rebound by Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers at Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth.
Six minutes later Odegaard was in the penalty box to fire a left-footed shot that beat Travers. Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus assisted him.
In the 54th, the London club made it 3-0. Assisted by Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka, French defender William Saliba sent the ball to the top corner.
Arsenal's Jesus finished after a through ball in the 72nd minute, but the goal was canceled for offside after a VAR (Video Assistant Referee) check.
Mikel Arteta's men won all their three matches to top the league with nine points.
Bournemouth, 14th in the league, have three points.
Earlier Saturday, Arsenal's archrivals Tottenham Hotspur beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 in London.
English forward Harry Kane scored a close-range header in the 64th minute at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It was his 250th Tottenham goal since 2011.
Second-placed Tottenham Hotspur have seven points to chase Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Fulham took their first win in the league, beating Brentford 3-2.
Serbian forward Aleksandar Mitrovic scored a late header to bring the win to Fulham at the Craven Cottage, London.
This season Mitrovic has three goals in three appearances.
Fulham are in the fourth spot with five points. Brentford are hot on Fulham's trail with four points.
