ANKARA (AA) - Arsenal beat Leicester City 2-0 in an English Premier League match on Saturday as the victors' goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale displayed a heroic performance to seal the win.
The London club's Brazilian defender Gabriel scored a header in the fifth minute to draw the first blood at King Power Stadium in Leicester. Bukayo Saka whipped a corner kick to assist him.
English midfielder Emile Smith Rowe scored in a scramble to double the lead for Arsenal in the 18th minute.
Meanwhile, Arsenal goalkeeper Ramsdale displayed a notable performance against the Foxes to help his team secure the 2-0 road victory.
English national Ramsdale, 23, had many critical saves during the 90 minutes to encourage Arsenal but there was a special one in the first half.
Ramsdale made a spectacular freekick save before the break, which was one of the key moments of the match.
Leicester City midfielder James Maddison curled a right-footed freekick but Ramsdale plunged to parry it. Then the ball hit the crossbar and an Arsenal defender rushed to the scene to clear it from danger.
So thanks to the first-half goals, the London club secured a 2-0 win over Leicester City.
Ramsdale had eight saves to be named the man of the match.
Arsenal climbed to the fifth position in the league table as the Gunners have 17 points in 10 matches.
Leicester City are now sitting in the 10th spot in the standings as the Foxes have 14 points.
