ANKARA (AA) - English Premier League side Arsenal will wear all-white kit in the FA Cup clash against Nottingham Forest to raise awareness against knife crime in London.
"Last year saw a record number of teenagers murdered in London. It's time to make a real change, through real action. Our white shirt is not for sale, not for profit. No More Red," Arsenal said in a tweet shared with a video on Friday.
The Gunners will remove red from the kit manufactured by Adidas during their FA Cup third round clash at the City Ground on Sunday.
London saw more than 10,000 knife crime offences between June 2020 and June 2021.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright said they are working "to create a better environment for young people."
"We can never accept loss of life through youth violence as ‘normal’ in our city," he said.
