London's Arsenal tore apart underdogs Sheffield United 5-0 in a Saturday English Premier League match to keep chasing leaders and archrivals Tottenham Hotspur in the standings.
Forward Eddie Nketiah scored his first Premier League hat-trick and was the Man of the Match at Emirates Stadium, London.
Nketiah scored the opener in a one-on-one in the 28th minute after Declan Rice's assist.
He was on the score sheet again in the 50th minute as Nketiah sent the ball into the roof of the net after a corner fell to him.
Eight minutes later, Nketiah scored a screamer to complete the hat-trick.
Midfielder Fabio Vieira converted a penalty shot successfully in the 88th minute to extend the gap.
Japanese defender Takehiro Tomiyasu added a stoppage time goal as the win took Arsenal to second place in the league table.
The Gunners now have 24 points, two points behind Tottenham.
Sheffield United are in last place with one point.
Tottenham will face Chelsea at home Nov. 6 in their next fixture. Arsenal will visit Newcastle United on Nov. 4.
