ANKARA (AA) - Arsenal's Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli renewed his contract with the Gunners on Friday, the English Premier League leaders said.
"Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new contract with the club, committing his long-term future with us," Arsenal said in a statement, without disclosing any further details.
Martinelli, 21, who is in his fourth season at Arsenal, has scored 25 goals and made 16 assists in 111 matches.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta said that they are "delighted" that Martinelli signed a new deal with the club.
"Our supporters see his quality and energy every single time he puts on the shirt and he’s the same every day in training, with his hard work and positive values.
"Gabi is still very young, so we know there's still much more to come from him and it's great that we’ll be on this journey together. We're now excited to continue to develop his huge talent and look forward to seeing him perform with Arsenal in the years to come," Arteta said.
Martinelli joined Arsenal from Brazil's Ituano in 2019.
He played for Brazil in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
