ANKARA (AA) – Asian stocks ended mixed on Tuesday amid lingering concerns over coronavirus cases in China, inflation and the Russia's war on Ukraine.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, fell 20.9 points, or 0.60%, to 3,447 points at 1005GMT.
Tokyo's Nikkei 225 stock exchange rose 185.4 points, or 0.69%, to end the day at 26,985 points.
China’s Shanghai Stock Exchange was flat, marginally down by 0.05% to close the day at 3,194, while India’s Sensex benchmark decreased 881.6 points, or 1.54%, to 56,285.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, was the worst performer of the day, down 490.3 points, or 2.28%, to close at 21,027.
The Singapore index gained 4 points, or 0.12%, to end the day at 3,307.
