BEIRUT (AA) – At least two people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a car in the town of Bafliyeh in southern Lebanon early Thursday, a Lebanese source told Anadolu.
The state-run National News Agency confirmed fatalities in the attack, without giving an exact toll.
There was no Israeli comment on the report.
Tensions have escalated along Lebanon's border with Israel amid cross-border attacks between Hezbollah and Israeli forces as Tel Aviv presses ahead with its deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 34,800 people since last October following a Hamas attack.
