ISTANBUL (AA) – At least 26 people, including women and children, have been killed over land dispute in Papua New Guinea.
The incident happened in Kanda area of Angoram district of East Sepik province last week, daily The National reported on Wednesday.
Among the deceased are women, who were raped before being killed.
Some 33 suspects have been identified behind the massacre and burning of the houses.
Fores Minister Salio Waipo, who represents Angoram in the Parliament, has said the incident was related to land dispute.
