GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - At least six Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli attacks in the war-ravaged Gaza Strip on Monday, according to a medical source.
An Israeli warplane struck a home in the northern town of Beit Lahia, killing five people and injuring several others, the source said.
Another Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in the southern city of Rafah and his body was transferred to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Younis, the source added.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army also continued to blow up Palestinian homes and buildings in the Jneinah neighborhood in eastern Rafah.
Israeli artillery shelling was also reported in the Khuza'a area east of Khan Younis and Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, but no information was yet available about casualties.
Israel has continued a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has killed nearly 45,000 people, mostly women and children, since an attack by the Palestinian resistance group Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last month for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on Gaza.
