MOSCOW (AA) - At least 70 people suffered from injuries of varying degrees after a train derailed in Russia's region of Komi on Wednesday, authorities said.
The train had 14 wagons, out of which nine were overturned, managing company Russian Railways said in a statement.
The preliminary cause of the incident was said to be the washing away of the railway embankment due to heavy rainfall.
Emergency and medical services are working at the site, and the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
